GHRC and Roz Minete of Capital Caring Presents: Pain Medications in Everyday Life

Posted on:

You and your family can help your doctor find the right medications for you. The doctor needs to know your medical history and other medications being taken. After taking the medication for a short time, you should tell the doctor about favorable results as well as side effects. Doctors, physician assistants, nurses, pharmacists and you make up your health care team. To reduce the risks from using medicines and to get the most benefit, you need to be an active member (an “empowered patient”) of the team.

Please join us for this free educational seminar on “Pain Medications in Everyday Life.” Our guest speaker, Tino Vilches, RPh and Sr. Vice President of Clinical Service with Wise Hospice Options, will be discussing in great detail the following topics and answering any questions.

• What is the name of the medication?
• What does the medication do?
• How and when should I take my medication?
• Should I expect any side effects?
