Dealing with dementia in a loved one represents one of the most heartbreaking challenges anyone can face. Although the most common Dementia diagnosis is Alzheimer’s Disease, there are ranges of dementing illnesses that can result in severe cognitive impairments in the elderly. Dementia can range from simple forgetfulness to full-scale incapacitation depending on the diagnosis and severity of the symptoms.
On November 30, 2010 at 2pm Dr. Donna Vannata, a Psychologist, will be speaking at Gainesville Health and Rehab about dementia and cognitive decline. This is the time of year that dealing with a loved one with dementia or cognitive decline can be difficult. If you are interested in finding out more about dementia or coping with dementia you shouldn’t miss this. She will be covering topics such as:
