Q: How long have you been with GHRC?
A: I have been with Gainesville Health & Rehab Center for 15 years!
Q: Why did you choose to be a CNA?
A: I tried other jobs, but somehow I always come back to being a CNA. I guess it’s the residents and the smile on their faces when they see me. I am passionate about the care I give them, and they count on me to be there for them.
Q: What are 3 words your colleagues would use to describe your personality?
A: My co-workers would describe me as kind, quiet, and helpful. I am not quick to judge and always ready to give a helping hand to those that need it.
Q: What do you like to do for fun? What are some of your hobbies?
A: I enjoy listening to music. I also like to sit outside on the deck when it is cool with a cup of coffee. I also like to take my dog dixie out for a walk.
Q: What was the most difficult challenge you experienced throughout the past year regarding the COVID-19 pandemic? How did you overcome this challenge?
A: Being at home with Covid was a challenge. I felt bad and weak most of the time, was not sure what to expect. When I wake up in the morning, I just prayed to God that he sees me through.
Q: Did you get vaccinated for COVID-19? If yes, why?
A: Yes, to protect me from the outside world. You never know what you can come in contact with inside or outside your job.
