Gloria Tyree
CNA

Q: How long have you been with GHRC?
A: In August 2021, it will be 5 years and I’ve been a CNA for 30+ years.

Q: Why did you choose to be a CNA?
A: I went to school to be a Medical Office Assistant and had plans to become a Nurse, but then I became certified as a Med Tech instead. I love making sure patients are being taken care of.

Q: What are 3 words your colleagues would use to describe your personality?
A: My co-workers would describe me as old-school, dependable, and a workaholic.

Q: What do you like to do for fun?  What are some of your hobbies?
A: I enjoy spending time with my friends and shopping. I collect Angel figurines.

Q: What was the most difficult challenge you experienced throughout the past year regarding the COVID-19 pandemic? How did you overcome this challenge?
A: The most difficult challenge I experienced during the pandemic was making sure my family, co-workers, and residents were safe. I did my best to adhere to the guidelines that were in place which would help everyone remain as safe and healthy as possible.

Q: Did you get vaccinated for COVID-19? If yes, why?
A: Yes, I am fully vaccinated. I chose to get vaccinated because I worked with the residents that unfortunately contracted the virus and saw how sick they became. By getting the virus I felt that I was helping make sure future residents and myself would not contract the virus.
