As you may be aware, the Biden administration is planning to issue a mandate requiring nursing home staff to become vaccinated against COVID-19. Prior to this announcement, the Center announced that COVID-19 vaccination will be mandatory for our staff effective September 20, 2021. We are very pleased to see that the administration recognizes the value of vaccination in the nursing home setting and hope that a similar mandate will follow for all healthcare workers who treat vulnerable patients.

County Positivity Rate: Increased to 6.9%.
Testing Frequency for Staff and Patients:  While in an outbreak, patients and staff are tested every 3-7 days until the Center is 14 days without a positive test result.
PPE: The supply remains adequate. Staff have received education on appropriate PPE utilization.
Visitation: In-person visitation is temporarily suspended for all patients during the outbreak with the exception of compassionate care visits.
